Jesus Surf Classic postponed to 23 & 24 September

After numerous discussions with all the key stakeholders, Christian Surfers UK, organisers of the very popular 31st Jesus Surf Classic (due to have been held at Croyde Bay, North Devon), has taken the tough decision to postpone this weekend’s event for two weeks until the weekend of 23 & 24 September 2023.

As always with an event of this size it is a very tough call. We know there will be small surfable conditions at times; however, after taking advice from Surfline and others, and with a high tide in the middle of the day, we don’t believe there will be sufficient surf throughout the weekend to run over 16 hours of surfing, with 140+ competitors in eight different categories ranging from under 12s to over 35s.

All entrants were sent an email at 8am on Wednesday 6th September with their options, and these can be seen on the Events page

Very much looking forward (God willing) to welcoming the surfers and support teams back at the end of September when we hope to be able to run all the categories in good competitive conditions over the course of one weekend.
