Natty Surf Jam

The Natty Surf Jam is being held on 1 April at Fistral Beach in Newquay and Christian Surfers UK are partnering with the event to provide man power to run the surf contest.

This unique event is a Festival of Music and Surfing to make a positive change in our local community.

The event is in memory of local surfer Nathaniel Loney; a contagiously vibrant, loving soul who tragically lost his life at the age of 25 after a three year battle against severe depression & bi-polar disorder. The ultimate goal of The Natty Surf Jam is to raise awareness and support for young adults struggling with mental health related illnesses, so that no one has to face the journey alone.

A Longboard Competition will be held at Fistral Beach, Newquay throughout the day and will comprise of an open men’s and women’s division. There will also be an Expression Session for all surfers and board types halfway through the day where extra amazing bonus prizes will be up for grabs!

Christian Surfers UK are especially looking for judges, beach marshals and tabulators to serve at the contest. There will also be lots of other ways to serve including setting up and packing down of the event. If you are keen to get involved please email David Renyard at dacvidjrenyard@hotmail.co.uk
