Here is a short film of some of our members sharing the vision of Christian Surfers UK to give every surfer and every surfing community opportunity to know and follow Jesus.
Every year the family of Christian Surfers UK gathers in Polzeath at the Tubestation for a weekend to celebrate the work of CS and envisioning our members for the season ahead. It is an inspirational weekend for many and always a fantastic opportunity to build friendships.
The Jesus Surf Classic started in 1995 as a small local surf contest at Croyde Bay with 25 competitors. Over the years, as Christian Surfers UK has built strong relationships in the UK surf community, the contest has grown into one of the longest running and largest contests in the UK. In 2017 we had over 110 competitors with the amazing opportunity to share the gospel with them and their families.
Since the first Jesus Longboard Classic held in 2007 at Polzeath, this contest has had a very special feeling to it. Running the contest out of the Tubestation makes it unique to start as well as the surfers blessing on the Sunday morning. The contest has become a real gathering of the longboard surf community and we have seen surfers meet Jesus through the event.
